What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive user research, including stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and usability testing.
• Create detailed design artifacts such as user journeys, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Design user experiences for desktop, web, and data-driven systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects within an Agile environment to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and reusable interface components.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience designing end-to-end user experiences for software applications.
• Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Axure.
• Proven track record in conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong grasp of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.
• Experience collaborating with development teams in Agile workflows.
• Must possess an active Secret Clearance to start.

Nice to have

• Experience designing Electron-based desktop applications or thick client software.
• Experience with data-intensive applications, analytics, or dashboard design.
• Experience working within government, defense, or intelligence community environments.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
