Lead Product Designer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Lead Product Designer (Fintech): Defining and scaling the product design strategy for compliance software across a unified platform, with an accent on unifying product experiences and ensuring UX consistency across monitoring, reporting, and surveillance products. Focus on shaping the integration of two platforms and cultivating influence with senior stakeholders to align design direction.

Location: Hybrid in London, UK. Candidates must have permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. Initially requires 3 days per week in the London office for the first 6 months, then at least 2 days per week.

Salary: £90,000–£105,000 per annum

What you will do

• Define strategic direction for Product Design, ensuring UX consistency and best-in-class quality across the entire product suite.
• Serve as a hands-on leader, performing individual contributor design work while simultaneously mentoring and coaching.
• Ensure excellent communication across all business levels, articulating the intent and value delivered by design initiatives.
• Cultivate influence with senior stakeholders to secure investment and align design direction.
• Serve as the design function's 'backbone' by maintaining quality standards and advocating for critical investments.
• Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Product Management, and Commercial pillars to influence prioritization and investment.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in a product design role within a dynamic SaaS business or investment management firm.
• Proven track record in growing and scaling a design function.
• Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders, including Executive teams, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success.
• Comfortable working in growing, fast-paced, agile environments.
• Ability to think in terms of the big picture, but deliver on the details.
• Permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship is required.
