What you will do

• Lead the multi-year replatforming initiative rebuilding the ERP platform from scratch.
• Define and maintain the technical architecture and system design with scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Manage two distributed development squads across the Netherlands and Canada.
• Build and improve CI/CD, test automation, and delivery processes.
• Align technology strategy with business and product priorities and manage technology budgets.
• Contribute as a key member of the executive leadership team and foster a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Location: Must work hybrid with minimum 2 days per week in Utrecht, Netherlands, and travel to Canada quarterly.
• English: Fluency in spoken and written English required.
• 8+ years in software development with several years in CTO or similar leadership roles.
• Proven experience with complex ERP or similar systems and cloud-native technologies (Node.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GCP).
• Experience managing distributed engineering teams and strong Agile leadership skills.

• Experience with business domains like WMS or accounting software.
• Flexibility in working hours to collaborate with Canadian teams.
