What you will do

• Own end-to-end feature development in a modern Laravel monolith
• Design and evolve architecture for multi-tenancy, performance, translations, and security
• Apply TDD/ATDD and raise testing culture across the team
• Use AI to build tests, generate fixtures, propose refactors, and analyze logs
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and QA in small, high-ownership squads
• Mentor engineers and help shape engineering standards across Europe

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid role based in Utrecht, Netherlands
• 7+ years professional software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years experience with Laravel in PHP 8.x
• Strong knowledge of Clean Code, SOLID principles, and modern architecture
• Experience with MySQL/Aurora, Redis, queues, events, and API design
• Clear communication in English or Dutch

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, translation workflows, GitHub Actions, AWS Vapor, Docker, Terraform, Playwright, or Sentry
