Location: Remote within Europe, with optional office presence in Rīga, Tallinn, or Barcelona.

What you will do

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team for platform-wide access and control capabilities.
  • Shape the architecture and reliability of authentication and authorization systems.
  • Provide technical leadership through design, code, and reviews.
  • Ensure strong execution, clear priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with product, security, and engineering for standards alignment.
  • Maintain long-term tech health and raise the quality bar across the domain.

Requirements

  • 10+ years engineering experience, including 3+ years as Engineering Manager or Team Lead.
  • Strong hands-on technical capability.
  • Expertise in Identity & Access Management (OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC) OR Service Governance (rate limiting, quotas).
  • Strong backend background with Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Solid grasp of modern infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, observability, CI/CD, IaC.
  • Excellent communication, alignment-building, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

  • PHP familiarity.
