Trading Architect (Fintech): Design and build software for a low latency trading platform focused on execution algorithms at Fidelity Digital Assets®. Location: Hybrid with onsite presence every other week in a Fidelity office (United States)

Salary: $126,000–255,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and build low latency trading systems and execution algorithms.
• Turn requirements into scalable, resilient service designs for the Fidelity Digital Assets® platform.
• Collaborate with chief architect and head of engineering to drive platform architecture.
• Lead and mentor small agile teams in a collaborative environment.
• Develop APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workers, and messaging services.
• Ensure software reliability in unreliable environments and cloud-based deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field with 15+ years of experience.
• Strong expertise in low latency trading systems and ultra-low latency design patterns.
• Experience with Java, kernel bypass technologies, messaging products, WebSocket and FIX protocols.
• Proficient in SQL and knowledge of relational and time series databases.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and cloud deployments.
• Interest and experience with cryptocurrencies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aeron, Solace, 29West messaging products.
• Knowledge of zero GC patterns in Java.
