Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Kitchener, Toronto, or Winnipeg, Canada, with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office

Base salary: CAD 90,000–130,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop software using engineering best practices across cloud and other technology areas.
• Work with distributed systems, machine learning, user interfaces, mobile, and cloud computing technologies.
• Apply technical judgment to guide technology investments and advance product development.
• Improve team productivity and effectiveness through high-quality code, technical decisions, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior developers and support strong execution and autonomy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions and collaboration.
• Experience with object-oriented design and proficient coding skills in C++, C#, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to complete technically challenging work.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar technical discipline, plus familiarity with artificial intelligence tools.
