AI Agent Engineer

Location: Ottawa, Canada; hybrid work

Salary: CAD 92,700–116,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect, build, integrate, and deploy AI agent systems from use-case scoping and prompt engineering through operational handoff.
• Develop n8n automation pipelines and Salesforce integrations that trigger interventions across customer workflows.
• Build data pipelines and diagnostic logic to identify value erosion, product defects, and unresolved support cases in real time.
• Integrate LLM, RAG, API, and Intelligent Front Door capabilities with IT and the AI Practice.
• Instrument agents with observability, feedback loops, evaluation criteria, testing protocols, confidence gates, and health dashboards.
• Lead agent rollout and enablement for Customer Success and Support teams, while translating audit findings into product, support, and knowledge improvements.

Requirements

• Experience building and deploying AI agents or intelligent automation systems in customer-facing environments.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, tool or function calling, and agentic design patterns.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or similar tools.
• Ability to work with APIs, webhooks, and CRM data, including Salesforce.
• Experience with AI governance, testing protocols, audit processes, reliability, and edge-case handling.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to nontechnical stakeholders.
