Senior Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid, based in Canada and open to candidates in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo

Annual base salary: CAD 125,800–170,100

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of product features from ideation through delivery and adoption.
• Build and improve web and mobile applications using scalable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, technical research, and the adoption of engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and Scrum team members to solve customer problems.
• Use agentic AI tools daily to delegate real engineering work, verify results, and improve development workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and help teammates navigate complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience on a full-stack development team.
• Required experience with JavaScript or TypeScript; the stack includes Ruby on Rails, React, and React Native with TypeScript.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong systems focus and experience building foundational software for large-scale applications.
• Experience providing technical mentorship and sharing engineering best practices.
• Daily hands-on experience building with agentic AI tools beyond autocomplete or chat.

Nice to have

• Technology leadership experience.
• Kafka knowledge and basic AWS experience with services such as Lambda, ECS, or EC2.
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.

Hiring process

• 45-minute interview with a Talent team member.
• 60-minute Hiring Manager interview.
• Take-home challenge followed by a 90-minute Functional interview, then a 30-minute Senior Leadership interview.
