TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Developing and maintaining a SaaS product that supports small businesses with an emphasis on scalable, well-tested code and AI-enhanced development tools. Focus on full lifecycle feature development, mentoring, and building foundational software for large-scale applications.

Location: Remote anywhere within Canada or offices in Edmonton and Toronto

Salary: $125,800–$170,100 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop features from ideation to delivery and adoption in a Scrum team
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best engineering practices
  • Facilitate discussions to find optimal solutions for customer problems
  • Mentor junior engineers and share industry best practices
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance development productivity
  • Collaborate across teams to build scalable, foundational software

Requirements

  • Must be located in Canada or able to work remotely within Canada
  • Senior experience in full-stack software engineering
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with Ruby on Rails, React, React Native
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development lifecycle
  • Strong systems focus and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Experience mentoring and using AI developer tools like Copilot or Cursor

Nice to have

  • Tech leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Kafka and AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EC2)
  • Experience with GraphQL in production
