Senior Full Stack Java Engineer (WFM)

What you will do

• Design and implement workforce planning, forecasting, scheduling, optimization, adherence, exception management, and operational reporting capabilities.
• Build Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger contracts, and event-driven workflows.
• Develop responsive workforce applications with React and TypeScript, including accessible workflows for planners, supervisors, and employees.
• Integrate WFM capabilities with CX platforms, ACD and routing systems, HR, payroll, identity, CRM, and enterprise data platforms.
• Model operational data in PostgreSQL and optimize batch processing, concurrency, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to containerized cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack software development experience with ownership of production applications.
• Strong knowledge of workforce management concepts, business rules engines, optimization logic, scheduling algorithms, and workforce planning workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST services, security, persistence, and distributed microservices.
• Frontend experience with React or Angular, TypeScript, component-based design, state management, and modern testing practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases, cloud-based and containerized applications, and integrations with enterprise platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, technical documentation experience, and the ability to lead client-facing workshops.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Amazon Connect, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Jenkins, observability tooling, or secure software delivery.
• Exposure to forecasting models, simulation, optimization algorithms, machine learning, operational research, or workforce analytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including Claude or GitHub Copilot.
