Senior Software Developer, PreCon (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in hirify.global offices in Canada, at University Ave in Toronto, Ontario

Salary: CAD 107,000–157,300 annual base salary for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications and services for preconstruction bidding and risk management.
• Build and maintain full-stack solutions including backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern frontend interfaces.
• Develop AI-powered features for decision-making, forecasting, and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to define and deliver impactful product features.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and developer mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern web application development.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills in an agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, AI-powered product features, and AI-assisted software delivery workflows.
