Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: London, on-site; customer travel of up to 50% may be required depending on business needs.

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, needs, and technical problems.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into technical designs and production systems.
• Design, code, test, deploy, and operate full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, and AI systems.
• Turn real-world usage insights into foundational platform improvements.
• Own projects end to end, from discovery and architecture through shipping and iteration.
• Help define Forward Deployed Engineering standards, rituals, and playbooks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals, including React and TypeScript, plus robust backend development.
• Experience writing maintainable, well-tested code and owning production systems.
• Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and turn successful experiments into production-quality solutions.
• Exceptional product intuition, customer-facing communication, and end-to-end ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI systems or large language models.
• Experience leading zero-to-one product development.
• Experience in a founding or early-stage startup environment.
