Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid in the New York City area; work from home Monday and Friday, with office attendance Tuesday through Thursday. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the area independently.

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 annually, excluding discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable, reliable, performant networking and application infrastructure.
• Partner with product and application teams on infrastructure, software scalability, reliability, performance, and security best practices.
• Create technical designs, operational playbooks, and documentation for engineering teams.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation, deployment improvements, and new tools.
• Monitor performance and availability, remediate systemic issues, and support critical production escalations.
• Scope infrastructure work, estimate timelines, define deliverables, and coordinate with engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong cloud development experience with AWS and data engineering services such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code and solid understanding of computer networking.
• Practical knowledge of security, data privacy, and permission management.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, incident response, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong collaboration and technical communication skills.
