Systems/Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Onsite at an HPE office in the United States

Salary: USD 105,500–213,500 annual base salary in California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment systems.
• Enhance Infrastructure as Code and enforce infrastructure best practices.
• Optimize cloud platforms for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop internal tools that streamline cloud platform operations.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows with FluxCD and Jenkins.
• Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with Linux systems, especially Debian-based distributions.
• Experience with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
• Expertise with Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.
• Programming skills in Python and/or Golang.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and GitOps workflows.
