Senior Product Software Engineer (Maritime Technology)

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Build full-stack, user-facing products for data management, real-time visualization, and command and control of autonomous maritime systems.
• Develop a real-time data platform that ingests, processes, stores, and displays data from thousands of autonomous and semi-autonomous marine systems.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, autonomy, and business teams across embedded systems, cloud data pipelines, and user interfaces.
• Create integrations with external systems, sensors, electronics, and hardware platforms.
• Own large engineering projects from initial concept through delivery and drive technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers, gather user feedback, and contribute to software architecture and technical direction.

Requirements

• Must work in the Torrance, California office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required export authorizations without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, or related technologies.
• Experience architecting and developing full-stack software products and applying modern data structures, algorithms, and software design practices.
• Experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems, and with software integrations involving electronics or hardware.
• Strong problem-solving, independent execution, roadmap planning, stakeholder communication, and user collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT systems, defense technology, or related fields.
• Experience working in controlled or classified environments.
• Startup experience and a track record of delivering zero-to-one projects.
• Experience building tools that accelerate software testing and development.
