What you will do

• Define and lead company-wide security, privacy, and governance architecture and strategy.
• Build scalable governance frameworks and embed security into engineering workflows and platforms.
• Establish incident learning and prevention processes to improve security posture.
• Scale and enable a Security Champions Network across engineering teams.
• Lead responsible data governance for AI/ML systems and SaaS environments.
• Deliver developer-centric security tools, automation, and guardrails to enhance velocity and compliance.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Bellevue, WA or Mountain View, CA
• 10+ years of large-scale software engineering experience with leadership of senior engineers and managers.
• Strong technical background in backend, distributed systems, security, or enterprise cloud platforms.
• Experience defining governance and security platforms at scale.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain senior engineering talent.
• Technical credibility as a former senior IC (Staff/Principal Engineer).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-agnostic or multi-cloud services.
• Background in enterprise access control, policy engines, compliance, or identity systems.
• Experience leading organizations through scaling in high-growth environments.
