What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a small engineering team of 2–4 data engineers across Paris and NYC.
• Define the technical direction, architecture, and roadmap for the Core Analytics Data Access Platform.
• Contribute directly to the codebase, reviewing and shipping critical platform components.
• Partner with Applied AI and Product Analytics teams to define data contracts, APIs, and SLAs.
• Implement access controls, lineage, monitoring, and compliance guardrails for safe model training.
• Scale storage, processing frameworks, and API patterns to support increasing platform usage.

Requirements

• Experience as a hands-on Engineering Manager who remains active in design and code.
• Strong background in at-scale data engineering, including ETL/ELT, streaming, and batch workflows.
• Production experience with AWS, Spark, and Iceberg (or equivalent table formats).
• Track record of collaborating with applied ML teams and data scientists to operationalize data.
• Operational expertise in defining SLAs, building observability, and managing incident response.
• Must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government to conform to US export control regulations.
