TL;DR

Account Manager (Gov): Retaining and expanding client accounts within the U.S. Government sector for a cybersecurity training platform with an accent on uncovering growth opportunities and building deep relationships. Focus on proactive outreach to new stakeholders, navigating government procurement realities, and driving long-term client value.

Location: Fully Remote (work from anywhere with 6 hours overlap with UK timezone)

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 base (UK)

What you will do

  • Own expansions and renewals within an assigned account portfolio (hundreds of accounts).
  • Uncover growth opportunities by building deep relationships within existing customer accounts.
  • Proactively source new contacts, including cold outreach to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Customer Success, Legal, Product, and Content Engineering teams.
  • Manage account data, follow processes, and analyze performance for continuous improvement.
  • Lead occasional projects to test new expansion and renewal strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Sales or revenue-driven Customer Success role in a rapidly growing organization (50–500 employees).
  • Understanding of U.S. Government agencies' mission, pressures, and procurement realities.
  • Experience with cold outreach and a strong track record of hitting and exceeding quotas.
  • Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and Customer Success software (e.g., ChurnZero).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, prioritizing clarity and precision.
  • Experience selling a technical solution, such as Cyber Security training.

  • Experience with Education clients.
