Staff Product Manager, Hardware

Location: Hybrid US role based in San Diego or San Francisco, with 1–3 days per week in the office. Candidates residing in Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not being considered.

Salary: $198,050–$233,000 for Region 1; $180,200–$212,000 for Region 2; $169,150–$199,000 for Region 3, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own hardware products and solve customer and business problems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and qualitative and quantitative user studies.
• Write and manage product requirements, assess progress, and facilitate timely decisions.
• Partner with engineering, design, science, marketing, analytics, and software product management teams to deliver products from concept through end of life.
• Prioritize features and improvements while balancing cost, timelines, and customer experience.
• Support the hardware portfolio vision, roadmap, positioning, pricing, and go-to-market readiness.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience with a record of delivering high-impact products and strong customer satisfaction.
• Deep understanding of hardware development, including design phases, manufacturing, materials, compliance, and quality.
• Experience with connected electronics, including connectivity, compute, batteries, firmware, and software features.
• Experience taking new or existing hardware products from concept to commercial launch with minimal supervision.
• Strong consumer, technology, and business judgment, with excellent written, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work 1–3 days per week in the San Diego or San Francisco office.
