Staff Engineer (Developer Productivity)

Location: Remote within North America. U.S. work eligibility is verified after hire through E-Verify.

Salary: $180,000–$400,000 USD per year, plus meaningful ISO equity compensation with early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.

What you will do

• Own build, test, and deployment workflows for a monorepo serving more than 50 engineers and over 75 daily commits.
• Improve monorepo productivity by separating build, test, and deployment concerns and evaluating tools such as Turborepo.
• Improve test coverage visibility across teams and support a growing matrix of data sources, destinations, and enrichment patterns.
• Extend multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure to support new regions and customer data-residency requirements.
• Improve operational excellence by helping identify issues before production and accelerating incident response.
• Write and deliver product features during onboarding and as needed to understand and improve the development flow.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering experience with strong computer science and software development fundamentals.
• Experience making significant improvements to build, test, and deployment processes for a development organization of 50 or more engineers.
• Strong development fundamentals and the ability to deliver framework-level improvements across multiple teams.
• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript codebases; familiarity with Go and Python is relevant to the monorepo.
• Ability to work with complex backend and feature code, system design, and developer productivity metrics such as DORA metrics and test coverage.
• Ability to work remotely from North America and meet U.S. work eligibility requirements after hire.
