Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure (AWS)

Location: Remote - US

Base pay range: $135,150–$187,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Set technical direction for major infrastructure areas across a multi-quarter horizon.
• Lead multiple infrastructure initiatives across the central team and feature teams.
• Design and ship reusable Terraform modules, CI/CD patterns, and operational tooling.
• Build AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment patterns, security controls, and cost-visibility tools.
• Own incident response, on-call quality, deployment reliability, and vendor integration health.
• Shape hirify.globalering guidelines and coach feature hirify.globalers who use the platform.

Requirements

• 6+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Deep AWS expertise across multi-account environments, networking, IAM, and security boundaries.
• Expert-level Terraform experience, including reusable modules, state, drift, and execution patterns.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, OIDC, and secret management.
• Experience shipping platform infrastructure adopted by internal feature teams.
• Experience leading technical direction and making infrastructure trade-offs across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Production-scale Cloudflare experience with WAF, DNS, zero-trust, or WARP.
• Datadog, JFrog, or comparable vendor integration experience.
• Experience with cost observability or FinOps tooling.
• Background on a platform team serving internal customers.
