Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure - Python & Kubernetes

Location: London, hybrid; regular time in the Shoreditch office with work-from-home days

What you will do

• Design and operate core infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises environments using Terraform and Crossplane.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters for single-tenant and multi-tenant workloads, focusing on isolation, performance, and reliability.
• Build secrets management, dynamic provisioning, rotation, cluster identity integration, and fine-grained access controls.
• Manage GPU drivers and accelerated compute node pools for AI and simulation workloads.
• Design cluster networking with CNI, Istio, ingress, cross-cluster connectivity, and vCluster-based multi-tenancy.
• Establish SLOs, respond to production incidents, develop Kubernetes Operators or controllers, and enforce governance and compliance controls.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience operating Kubernetes in production, including cluster architecture, scheduling, networking, storage, and API lifecycle.
• Hands-on production experience with Crossplane compositions, providers, managed resources, Terraform at scale, and multi-cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience designing single-tenant and multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures, including isolation, resource governance, and operational overhead.
• Experience with Vault, External Secrets Operator, or cloud-native secret stores; Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, Istio, ingress, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with vCluster or similar virtual-cluster tooling, GPU driver management, device plugins, and accelerated workloads.
• Ability to write infrastructure automation in Python or Golang, with a solid grounding in distributed systems, reliability engineering, and platform usability.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes certifications such as CKAD, CKA, or CKS.
• Experience with GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure or Kubernetes ecosystem projects.
• Exposure to Erlang, Elixir, or OCaml.
