Operations Technology Engineer (IIOT)

Operations Technology Engineer (Industrial Automation): Building and optimizing industrial control systems and HMIs with an accent on Rockwell, GE, and Aveva platforms, and various industrial protocols. Focus on integrating PLCs, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing IIOT solutions.

What you will do

• Optimize and maintain industrial control systems (SCADA, HMI, Historian).
• Configure and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens).
• Manage network settings and diagnose connectivity issues for industrial equipment.
• Travel often and for long periods, sometimes back to back.
• Adapt to dynamic environments and perform varied tasks outside the direct job title.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Studio, and Historian, GE Proficy HMI/Historian, or Aveva Wonderware HMI/Historian.
• Experience with Kepware or other OPC solutions.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley, GE, and Siemens PLCs.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols like Modbus, Profibus, ProfNet, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, and DNP3.
• Basic understanding of computer networking, including switches, firewalls, and routers.
• W2 contract engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience with IIOT, MQTT, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Node RED.
