What you will do

• Execute end-to-end network and PLC integration of edge devices into customer OT environments, covering IP configuration, VLANs, and cloud connectivity.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and PROFINET.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues such as DNS resolution failures, NTP sync problems, and general IT/OT network outages.
• Collaborate with customer process, IT, and OT teams during deployment pilots to bring hardware online.
• Contribute to productizing the integration process to reduce manual tasks and improve scalability.
• Support Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and monitor deployed site health to drive root-cause analysis on connectivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC platforms and industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, PROFINET).
• Practical proficiency with Git, Python scripting, and Linux command-line fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, NTP, and TCP/IP stack.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites as deployment schedules require.

Nice to have

• Advanced Linux skills including shell scripting, systemd, and diagnostics tools like tcpdump, netstat, and nmap.
• Experience with IT/OT convergence, Industry 4.0 architectures, or industrial network segmentation (Purdue model / ISA-99).
• Familiarity with time-series or sensor data and identifying anomalies in data streams.
• Experience with monitoring tooling, alerting infrastructure, or ticketing systems.
