Senior Database Administrator (MySQL/PostgreSQL)

What you will do

• Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines.
• Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning, sharding, and backups.
• Assist development teams with creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting RDBMS and NoSQL solutions.
• Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
• Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including DDL, DML, and DCL.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms and proficiency in Linux.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience in scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Bash, or Python.
• Team management experience.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
