TL;DR

Systems Engineer: Managing and supporting server and network infrastructure for a proprietary ad-serving platform with an accent on Linux systems, database management, and network performance. Focus on installation, maintenance, monitoring, and ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure in a fast-paced ad tech environment.

Location: Remote within Ireland with option to work from Dublin or Porto offices. Relocation package available for Ireland.

hirify.global is a young international startup specializing in ad tech, part of EXOGROUP with offices in Barcelona, Dublin, Porto, Valencia, and Tarragona.

What you will do

  • Install, support, and maintain server hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Manage database systems (MariaDB & ClickHouse) and web servers (Nginx).
  • Monitor server and network usage to ensure efficient resource use.
  • Plan and implement future deployments and infrastructure improvements.
  • Provide 24/7 availability for critical infrastructure situations.
  • Contribute to team process improvements and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Must be located in Ireland or able to relocate.
  • Extensive Linux experience, preferably RedHat.
  • Advanced knowledge of web servers and PHP.
  • Experience with MariaDB administration and caching technologies (Redis, Memcached, CouchBase).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet.
  • Good communication skills and experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence).

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS).
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl.
  • Networking knowledge including DNS, VRRP, PXE, Kickstart.
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Impala) and ELK stack.
  • Security experience (SELinux, IPTables) and monitoring tools (Nagios).
