Head of Network Engineering & Architecture (SD-WAN): Leading the engineering, architecture, and delivery of hirify.global’s global SD-WAN and WAN backbone infrastructure with an accent on network modernization, SASE integration, and cloud connectivity. Location: Must be based in Ireland, Switzerland, the UK, or Spain (Hybrid role with up to 2 days/week remote).

What you will do

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for hirify.global’s network infrastructure, focusing on SD-WAN and modernization.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams (WAN, SD-WAN, SSE) in the planning, execution, and delivery of portfolio initiatives.
• Act as product owner for the network area, managing backlogs and prioritizing initiatives to improve key performance metrics.
• Promote Agile methodologies and a DevOps mindset, including CI/CD and automation, to enhance service delivery.
• Manage infrastructure vendors and partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ireland, Switzerland, the UK, or Spain.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in SD-WAN technologies (e.g., Versa, Cisco/Viptela, Fortinet).
• At least 10 years of experience in Network and Security Engineering environments.
• Proven leadership experience in architecture and build teams, rather than service delivery or support.
• Strong background in network modernization, including SASE and cloud connectivity.
• Experience managing complex multi-stream programs and portfolios with executive-level communication skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications in project management (PMP, Agile) or relevant technical areas.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud technologies such as Azure.
• Experience working with diverse WAN and Network Security providers.
