Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 2 remote days per week. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain wired, wireless, access, and core network infrastructure, responding to alerts and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Support NAC and authentication incidents and participate in scheduled change windows and urgent fixes.
• Replace legacy Cisco switches with Cisco Nexus and NX-OS platforms and upgrade Wi-Fi environments using Cisco wireless technologies.
• Implement Network Access Control with 802.1X, RADIUS, and ISE.
• Deploy Cisco Catalyst Center as the primary network management platform to improve automation and configuration management.
• Lead infrastructure changes, maintain documentation and runbooks, and improve monitoring and observability while preserving operational stability.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience administering Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and IOS/IOS-XE.
• Experience with switch upgrades and replacements and Cisco Wi-Fi implementations.
• Knowledge of NAC solutions, including 802.1X, RADIUS, and ISE.
• Understanding of change management, operational support, monitoring, observability, and automation tools.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; existing legal right to work in the EU required.

Nice to have

• Cisco Catalyst Center, formerly DNA Center, certification or experience.
• Previous involvement in infrastructure transformation projects.
