TL;DR
Professional Services Engineer (German Speaker) (NetApp Storage/Cloud Infrastructure): Supporting and deploying enterprise storage, cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions with an accent on NetApp storage administration, performance troubleshooting, and hybrid cloud technologies. Focus on leading technical activities, training customers, resolving complex infrastructure issues, and serving as an escalation resource.
Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid working with some in-office and/or in-person expectations.

What you will do
- Administer and deploy storage environments, including CDOT and 7-Mode platforms.
- Support cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualization, servers, and S3-compatible object storage.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, perform firmware and operating system upgrades, and manage cluster and SAN switching environments.
- Implement storage backup, replication, disaster recovery testing, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Lead technical activities, provide customer training, manage stakeholders, and act as an escalation resource.
- Use ITIL, managed services, outsourcing, and cloud operations practices to support customer environments.
Requirements
- German speaker with strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication.
- 8+ years of experience with storage administration and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, snapshots, failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, replication, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, FlexPod, Commvault, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, OpenStack, LogicMonitor, WAN, SAN, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Experience with Cloud Volumes ONTAP, StorageGrid, E-Series, Cloud Backup, data classification, and Amazon FSx for ONTAP.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Relevant or cloud certifications.
- Understanding of AI and generative AI tools for operational efficiency, troubleshooting, and documentation.
