Survey Engineer (Unmanned Vessels)

Location: Hybrid role based in Nootdorp, Netherlands, with work at supplying yards near Rotterdam, the outfitting facility in Steenwijk, test locations, and international commissioning locations including the UK.

Salary: €4,200–€4,900 gross per month, depending on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Plan the integration of survey and ICT equipment with the USV team and define acceptance criteria and testing deliverables.
• Pre-configure survey and ICT hardware and software, documenting network requirements.
• Integrate third-party sensors and other equipment into vessels according to schematics, designs, and schedules.
• Execute testing programs, verify integrations, and document results.
• Provide onsite support during commissioning, including operation and testing of survey and ICT equipment.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers and provide technical support to commissioning teams and end users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid knowledge of networking and IT systems.
• Electrical experience with 230V AC mains and 12–48V DC low-voltage equipment.
• Experience testing and configuring survey equipment such as GNSS systems, multibeam systems, and Edgetech sidescan sonars.
