Field Service Engineer (Cargo Inspection System (CIS) Benelux)

Location: Netherlands, with field support responsibilities across the south of the Netherlands and Belgium.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-energy X-ray cargo and vehicle inspection systems.
• Conduct site audits, manage spare-parts inventory, and support system performance improvements.
• Assist with new system installations, factory commissioning, and on-site commissioning.
• Provide rotating on-call and remote technical support to customers.
• Improve service operations, technical documentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow EHS standards and company quality procedures.

Requirements

• Engineering education or relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or electronics disciplines, such as MBO 4 level.
• Field service experience covering installation, maintenance, and repair, together with a strong customer-service background.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, sensors, actuators, radiation safety, and basic networking including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switches, and firewalls.
• Good command of Windows environments, diagnostic tools, and remote-support software; a driving licence is required.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Dutch are required. Applicants must be eligible for Dutch security clearance; sponsorship is not available.
