What you will do

• Develop and refine assessment guidelines for Dutch concrete bridges based on next-generation Eurocode standards.
• Conduct literature reviews on structural strengthening techniques and safety philosophies.
• Consult with industry partners, asset owners, and technology developers to identify commercial and practical needs.
• Organize international workshops with global experts to evaluate state-of-the-art strengthening technologies.
• Identify future research challenges and strategic directions for infrastructure maintenance.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Concrete Structures, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Solid background in the assessment or structural strengthening of existing concrete structures.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to translate theoretical insights into actionable research plans.
• Proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge certification required).
