What you will do

• Conduct fundamental research on ultrasound sensors and fluid viscosity.
• Develop and invent novel measurement strategies and experimental methods.
• Design and build an experimental sensing platform for quantitative validation.
• Create a validated model of ultrasonic flow sensors and characterize propagation loss and resonance behavior.
• Write a doctoral dissertation and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise master students and participate in educational activities.

Requirements

• MSc in mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field.
• Experience with modeling, experimental work, and design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Creative, independent, and self-motivated approach to research.
• Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands.
• English proficiency required for academic research and thesis writing.
