TL;DR

Lead IoT Solutions Engineer (Embedded IoT Dev): Design, build, and integrate IoT devices and hardware components for commercial and industrial applications with an accent on vision-based automated license plate recognition and edge computing deployments. Focus on managing Linux-based embedded systems, hardware integration, and data analysis for system optimization.

Location: Munich, Germany (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

What you will do

  • Design, build, and integrate IoT devices focused on ALPR and digital signage applications.
  • Lead hardware integration of peripherals into Point of Sale systems.
  • Manage and support Linux-based embedded systems ensuring security and reliability.
  • Deploy and maintain software on edge computing devices for scalability and efficiency.
  • Analyze IoT device data to identify improvements and optimize integrations.
  • Oversee IoT project lifecycles from concept to delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Munich, Germany
  • English: Fluent required
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with edge computing software development.
  • Experience with Bash, Ansible, AWS IoT Core/Greengrass or similar IoT fleet management solutions.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hardware validation skills.

Nice to have

  • German language skills.
  • C++ programming experience.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and test procedures for hardware design validation.
