Motion Control Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build advanced high-real-time feedback control systems for robotic motion.
• Enable policy-based motions and VLAs on top of the control platform.
• Plan collision-free, synchronized, and optimized trajectories for multiple robots.
• Develop central platform components within the NOVA ecosystem.
• Collaborate across teams and contribute to knowledge sharing and software development practices.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience as a software engineer in motion control.
• Experience with analytic-model-based or neural-network-based high-real-time closed-loop control systems.
• Experience with sampling-based, graph-based, or optimization-based path planning.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python, with basic knowledge of serial or parallel manipulators and multi-robot simulation.
• Fluent English is required, and German learning must have at least started.
• Self-directed, reliable, communicative, collaborative, and willing to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensor-fusion-based state estimation.
• Experience developing scalable, high-quality software.
• Experience with Dockerized systems and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define CI/CD pipelines with Conan or UV/Pip packaging and gtest or pytest test cases.
• Knowledge of VLAs or policy-based motion.
