What you will do
- Design complex control-system architectures from concept through field deployment.
- Own the complete embedded firmware development lifecycle for robotic and industrial automation systems.
- Define functional and safety requirements and drive system performance improvements.
- Lead system bring-up, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, commissioning, and live testing.
- Develop automated tests and collaborate with cross-functional, hardware, and technical leadership teams.
- Communicate technical decisions, progress, and results to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience delivering production embedded firmware for motor control systems.
- Expertise in software architecture and C/C++ development for resource-constrained embedded systems.
- Hands-on experience with ARM architecture, timers, PWM, ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and EtherCAT.
- Production experience with real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS.
- Strong expertise in Field-Oriented Control, advanced motor-control strategies, power electronics, and schematic reading.
- Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a tech lead or engineering team lead.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IEC 61508, Safety Integrity Levels, and the functional-safety lifecycle.
- Embedded-systems cybersecurity knowledge and experience with bootloaders or firmware update mechanisms.
- Familiarity with robotic control architectures, MATLAB/Simulink model-based development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
