Location: Manchester. Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
Salary: £72,702 - £80,780

What you will do
- Lead the technical delivery of automation solutions using Python and GCP.
- Design and implement scalable systems that connect AI agents with internal tooling.
- Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for process and technology modernisation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to incident resolution.
- Contribute to the development of technical strategies and automation frameworks.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to thought leadership across the organisation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background, with around 5 years experience in Python and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Experience designing and implementing automation solutions in complex environments.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical delivery in ambiguous settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and orchestration of tooling.
Nice to have
- Experience contributing to strategic planning or proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Knowledge of IT security policies and implementation.
- Exposure to knowledge management and performance management systems.
- Experience mentoring or coaching others in technical domains.
