Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements gathering and documentation for software development teams.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, testing, defects, and traceability in JIRA and other ALM processes.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with product owners, business stakeholders, systems engineers, customers, contractors, and development teams.
• Track risks, issues, metrics, change requests, configuration management, and project or product execution status.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for this opportunity.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) and pass the required government investigation.
• 10 years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required, with additional experience potentially substituting for education.
• Strong software development, Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework experience, including work on large software development or data integration projects.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office, including Excel, plus strong analytical, communication, research, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Previous federal government experience and security clearance experience are highly desired.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program and VA SQA testing.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with federal health agencies such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Healthcare billing, claims processing, or related application knowledge.
