Senior Business Analyst (Public Sector)

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Service Designers, Business Users, Architects, and delivery teams to understand needs and design suitable solutions.
• Refine scope and requirements, align priorities and backlogs, and produce process flows, customer journey maps, user stories, and functional, non-functional, and operational requirements.
• Apply a user-centred approach to test options and solutions with wider user groups.
• Prepare and deliver stakeholder Show & Tells.
• Support assurance and quality gates while maintaining delivery quality, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working in Agile delivery teams and using Agile tools.
• Experience as a Business Analyst investigating, analysing, and documenting different needs, constraints, and problems in clear language.
• Experience in the public sector or central government, with knowledge of the Government Digital Service.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Product Owners on product backlog grooming and creating Epics and User Stories for technical teams.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with process modelling, customer journey mapping, and supporting user testing.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, Visio, Mural, Miro, service maps, and operating models.
