AI Engineer - Data

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands; hybrid work. Candidates must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Relocation from another country is not considered.

Gross monthly salary: €4,105–€5,862 for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Accelerate the adoption of Coding Assistants, including GitHub Copilot, across engineering teams.
• Demonstrate Agentic Engineering through experiments and proofs of concept with engineering teams.
• Develop and deploy dashboards to track usage, adoption, and impact KPIs using AWS, Azure DevOps, Python, SQL, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Coach engineers on AGENTS.md, specification-driven development, custom skills and agents, and token-usage optimization.
• Collaborate with Security teams to evaluate new features and establish safe adoption guardrails.
• Manage licenses and respond to operational support tickets and queries.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and other coding assistants, including coding agents and AGENTS.md.
• Experience developing data solutions such as data lakes, ETL pipelines, SQL solutions, dashboards, and data models.
• Production experience deploying, operating, and scaling systems, together with a software development background.
• Practical experience with cloud, DevOps, infrastructure as code, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI, including security, privacy, prompt injection, leakage, and data protection.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, Agile/Scrum knowledge, and a product-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Basic GitHub Enterprise administration knowledge or willingness to learn.
