DataOps Engineer (Data & AI)

Location: Remote in Germany, the Netherlands, or Italy, or onsite in Cologne or Berlin. Up to 20 work-from-home days per year may be taken anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performing data pipelines.
• Optimize data architecture and build cloud-native solutions with Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Big Data technologies.
• Develop and deploy data solutions that enable Data & AI models and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams to understand data needs and support current and future initiatives.
• Apply CI/CD practices in Data Analytics projects.
• Improve the performance, scalability, and security of data systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
• Experience ingesting and processing large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or another public cloud platform, including Databricks or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Kafka or Flink and strong SQL skills for analytics.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Scala, or Java.
• Interest in cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, and applying engineering best practices.
