Software Engineer (ML Networking)

Location: Hybrid with at least 25% in office, San Francisco, USA

Salary: $315,000 - $560,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop and maintain software interfacing between ML accelerators and high-speed networks
• Optimize network protocols and congestion control algorithms for large-scale workloads
• Debug kernel-level network latency and distributed system networking issues
• Benchmark and build new networking environments and collective algorithms
• Collaborate on system-level network infrastructure and performance improvements

Requirements

• Must be able to work hybrid with at least 25% presence in San Francisco office
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Expertise in network protocols, kernel and user-space networking technologies
• Strong systems programming skills with experience in performance optimization
• 5+ years in systems or network programming
• English proficiency at least B2 (job posting language)

Nice to have

• Experience with ML accelerators and accelerator drivers
• Knowledge of Rust programming language
• Experience designing new network protocols and working with PCIe devices
• Background in HPC, telecommunications, or OS/kernel engineering
