What you will do
- Own the backend platform architecture, infrastructure, and foundational services.
- Drive the evolution of the platform to support scale, performance, and reliability.
- Build a real-time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
- Design and manage high-volume data pipelines for energy consumption and system telemetry.
- Lead the development of integration layers and messaging interfaces with third-party services.
- Establish engineering best practices for observability, CI/CD, testing, and scalability.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a senior software engineer or tech lead, ideally with platform/backend focus.
- 5+ years experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience building and operating production-grade systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed computing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Clear and proactive communication, with the ability to align cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on approach to solving problems and making strategic decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform).
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging queues, or stream processing.
- Familiarity with building internal platforms or developer tooling.
