Configuration Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: On-site in Libertyville, Illinois, United States. This is a second-shift position requiring 8+ hours per day on your feet and repetitive lifting of 50+ pounds.

Salary: $22.50 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Build and configure computer servers using engineering data sheets and system requirements.
• Apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hardware-specific software to systems according to platform documentation and production defaults.
• Install and configure Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot computer hardware and configure network switches.
• Flash BIOS and other firmware and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Support other departments while meeting production deadlines and maintaining 5S standards.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Basic experience with server or networking equipment and computer hardware.
• Ability to analyze data sheets and system requirements to build and configure servers.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet set deadlines and goals.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds repetitively and work on your feet for 8+ hours per day.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with various operating systems, with Linux preferred.
