IT Systems Administrator (Microsoft)

Location: Hybrid work week in Rochester, NY — 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Occasional evening and weekend support and less than 10% travel are required.

Salary: $27.54–$45.22 per hour, plus potential annual incentive and long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems and critical IT services.
• Design, deploy, and maintain technical solutions, documentation, and training for business users.
• Monitor and resolve hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
• Upgrade server hardware, operating systems, and software to maintain security, availability, and functionality.
• Implement, test, and secure data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support while coordinating with IT personnel across hirify.global sites and external service providers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience administering IT systems and resolving user issues.
• Professional experience, certifications, or projects demonstrating knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 R2–2022, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of networking concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS, and Azure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; willingness to provide occasional evening and weekend support and travel less than 10%.
• Must pass a background check and provide reliable, acceptable references.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Bash, C#, JavaScript, SQL, KQL, or other scripting, programming, and query languages.
• Familiarity with Linux and macOS.
• Experience supporting enterprise software such as ERP and manufacturing execution systems.
