IT Specialist

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; support is provided across hirify.global offices, including Cambridge, Massachusetts.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day IT support for technical and non-technical employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and workplace technology.
• Manage the full lifecycle of company devices, including procurement, provisioning, MDM enrollment, software deployment, inventory, replacement, and secure retirement.
• Administer Google Workspace, Rippling, MDM platforms, and other SaaS applications, including user identities, access requests, permissions, and lifecycle processes.
• Maintain endpoint security, patch management, security tooling, and technical controls for compliance programs.
• Manage enterprise server-rack infrastructure, including network management, switch configuration, and physical server deployment.
• Improve IT reliability and employee experience by automating manual processes and supporting AV and conference-room technology.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in IT systems administration, endpoint management, or IT support.
• Experience supporting macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms and endpoint management solutions.
• Working knowledge of identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, networking, authentication, and SaaS applications.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kandji, Jamf, Rippling, Vanta, SentinelOne, Docker, GitHub, OPNsense, UniFi, Tailscale, AWS, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Neat, and other collaboration technologies.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITAR, or CMMC programs.
• A portfolio, blog, GitHub repository, or other work samples.
