Senior/Staff Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote, available to candidates living in or willing to relocate to Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, or Spain.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain services handling real-time financial transactions.
• Own production reliability and contribute to service architecture, resilience, and scalability using Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Lead technical design discussions, anticipate risks, and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement through CI maintenance, incident reviews, post-mortems, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale web application architecture and real-world production constraints.
• Ability to transfer quickly to a new technology stack and work with similar backend technologies.
• Experience writing tests, setting up monitoring, handling incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
• Ownership of released work, including impact tracking, regression detection, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate in squad teams with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers from other technology stacks.
• Fluent English is required.
