Senior Software Engineer (Ruby/Rails)

What you will do

• Analyze problems and data to identify pragmatic solutions to real-world business needs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to design and implement solutions end to end.
• Create, design, develop, test, and monitor reliable production code autonomously.
• Work with the Engineering Manager to design solutions and take accountability for execution.
• Contribute to stakeholder information flow and provide constructive code review feedback.
• Mentor engineers and support technical growth within the team.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience.
• Ability to design simple, pragmatic architectures for problems at scale.
• Strong focus on code simplicity, quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Ability to understand user and client needs alongside technical requirements.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and architectures.

Nice to have

• Entrepreneurial background or experience in an established organization.
• Familiarity with Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/React, Node, Kotlin, Swift, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, or Snowflake.
