What you will do

• Deliver practical legal advice across diverse areas including corporate/commercial transactions and regulatory landscapes.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate high-stakes financing, strategic partnerships, and customer agreements.
• Anticipate and address emerging legal issues, safeguarding hirify.global's interests and reducing legal exposure.
• Draft and evolve internal policies and guidelines to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Lead legal updates for customer-facing disclosures and agreements.
• Develop and manage form agreements, optimize contract management systems.

Requirements

• Proven ability to synthesize complex legal issues and deliver actionable recommendations.
• 5+ years of experience from private practice or in-house setting with expertise in banking/financial services, corporate/commercial, or privacy law.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.LB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) and membership in the Law Society of Alberta.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with diverse colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in the banking, fintech, or broader financial services sectors, or other highly regulated industries, especially those with prior in-house legal experience.
