Account Executive (SLED)

Account Executive (SLED): Driving sales strategies and managing complex sales cycles within higher education SLED accounts, building executive-level relationships, and driving revenue with a network of Channel Partners. Focus on managing customer relationships from first meeting through proof of concept and expanding the footprint.

What you will do
- Develop business across enterprise-level customers.
- Generate revenue and work with Channel Partners to sell the offering.
- Manage the sales process to align with customer buying cycles.
- Manage customer relationships to expand the footprint.
- Develop and present proposals to customers demonstrating the VAST solution's ability to meet business objectives.
- Prospect and penetrate large accounts, reaching decision-makers, and closing business.
Requirements
- 7+ years of sales or account management experience in the SLED or Public Sector vertical.
- Track record of exceeding quota and driving business with large strategic customers.
- Experience developing selling regions from the ground up.
- Passion for developing account expansion strategies and post-sales customer success.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with experience in both large companies and startups.
- Ability to communicate with customers and partners at both a business and technical level.
- Knowledge of the storage industry: NFS, Object Storage, and Enterprise Computing architectures.
- Competitive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office.
